Carine Brancowitz INTERVIEW
Carine Brancowitz is an illustrator. She works with a host of fashion magazines and for many major brand names. The first showing
of her work was at the Dexter Gallery in Paris in September 2009, and she will also be present at the 56th Salon d’Art Contemporain de Montrouge
in May 2011. Fun fact – she works exclusively with BIC® pens.
Bio Born in 1972, Carine Brancowitz studied illustration at the Ecole Estienne in Paris. She started her career in the fashion industry in 1996 as the artistic director in a communications agency. In 2001, she set up shop for herself as a graphic artist, and in 2007 she decided to focus on illustration. She has worked with various magazines (Dazed & Confused, Nylon, Elle Girl, Elle, Die Zeit, Figaro Madame, Playboy, Arena, Avant Garde, Vogue, l'Officiel, to name a few) and major brand names (Céline, Testoni, Silvera, Nokia).
