Owner of Orange County Choppers and star of the hit show “American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior,” Paul Teutul Sr., presented BIC with a custom-made chopper that was themed after the BIC® Flex4™ men’s shaver at BIC’s North American Headquarters located in Shelton, CT, USA.

“The motorcycle is really impressive— the team from Orange County Choppers did a fantastic job incorporating the key features of the BIC® Flex4™ shaver into the overall design of the bike,” said Chris Mills, sr. vice president and general manager, North America Consumer Products. “To see how they incorporated our shaver’s four flexible blades, its comfortable grip, and even the BIC Boy into the final product is amazing, and it was a lot of fun for our employees to take part in today’s unveiling and to be a part of this hit TV show!”

The unveiling of the impressive-looking bike was the second part of the taping for the show; the first taping occurred on Monday, 13-DEC-2010 at the OCC headquarters where employees of OCC participated in a shaving event sponsored by BIC through their BIC 4 GOOD program.

The event at OCC headquarters met two objectives:  the participants experienced the BIC® Flex4™ shaver first hand when they shaved their heads, beards and mustaches, and it also gave BIC the opportunity to support the OCC Foundation by committing to a financial donation on behalf of all the employees that shaved. The OCC Foundation supports both national and local charities within the Newburgh, NY community.

“The chance to participate on American Chopper and have a BIC Flex4 chopper built is an incredible opportunity for the men’s shaver brand,” said Jamie Kistner, sr. brand manager --shavers, BIC Consumer Products USA. “Through this branded integration, BIC® Flex4™ received national and international televised exposure with our key target audience, men ages 18 to 35.  American Chopper is ranked in the top five U.S. cable programs among men.”

During the unveiling, Mills and Kistner presented a check on behalf of the BIC 4 GOOD program to the OCC Foundation for $20,000.

The episode of “American Choppers: Senior vs. Junior” that features BIC is set to air on 07-FEB-2011 on the Discovery Channel.

About BIC 4 GOOD

To celebrate the BIC Flex4 razor, BIC launched the BIC 4 GOOD program (http://www.bic4good.com), an initiative that asks Americans to shave their head—in reality or virtually—and in turn BIC Flex4 makes a donation on their behalf to charity.

About The OCC Foundation

OCC has long recognized the contribution of others through its tribute bikes, charity builds, and support of many charitable organizations. OCC’s support of these varied charitable activities has helped raise substantial sums of money for good causes that support families in need and our men and women in the armed services, among others.  The OCC Foundation seeks to both maximize its charitable efforts by giving up to 100% of the money it raises each year to qualified charities.  The Foundation also gives its supporters a voice and asks that Foundation Partners nominate qualified charities to receive support from the OCC.
