The BIC Foundation is donating 50,000 euros to the Life Project for Youth (LP4Y) to help young people navigate the global health crisis and create opportunities for their future.

The first project will support disadvantaged young adults and their families during the COVID-19 crisis by providing a weekly allowance to 158 LP4Y participants and 80 program alumni over three months. The stipend will enable young adults and their families to afford food, medicine and more.

In addition, BIC will support a project called “Development of Digital Inc.,” which is a new learning and networking platform providing ongoing educational courses. Through the project, 134 young people will receive a one-year license to help them prepare for the future via online interactions with working professionals.

Young people living in extreme poverty zones are particularly vulnerable during the global COVID-19 health crisis, facing food shortages, job loss, and other economic challenges. Social distancing is difficult where they live, challenging them with an increased risk of exposure to the virus. Through these projects support by BIC, LP4Y aims to prevent families from suffering further.

BIC’s support of these activities follows donations of more than $1.5 million USD in products to contribute to the fight against COVID-19, as well as other charitable projects with NGOs worldwide.
