French Prime Minister and several members of the Government visit BIC plant in Montévrain
On Monday, September 14, 2020, the BIC Ecriture 2000 factory in Montévrain near Paris welcomed the French Prime Minister Jean Castex and several members of the government ahead of the Executive Committee meeting of the National Council of Industry (NCI). The Prime Minister had selected our site for the meeting which was dedicated to the French recovery plan.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Minister of the Economy and Finance Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Labor Elisabeth Borne, Secretary of State for Economy Agnès Pannier-Runacher, as well as the Prefect and the President of the Ile-de-France Region. They were welcomed by Peter Dalsberg, BIC Group Supply Chain Officer and Benoit Bemer, Director of the BIC Ecriture 2000 plant.
Before the official meeting, Mr. Castex and the government officials took a factory tour to discover how BIC’s iconic 4-Color pen is made and to learn about the manufacturing skills to produce long-lasting, high-quality writing instruments.
BIC was chosen to host the meeting because because it is a flagship of the French industry and known to all French people.
