Prize for the National Superior School of Arts Paris-Cergy

Wednesday 7 December 2016 - BIC Company has inaugurated, on Tuesday December 6th, its first contemporary design price: the BIC® Prize for the National Superior School of Arts Paris-Cergy.
This prize aims to encourage creativity and new artistic forms around the BIC® brand universe, by highlighting an emerging artist who is studying at the ENSAPC.
The jury was composed by Mr. Bruno BICH, Chairman and CEO of the BIC Group; Sandra Hegedüs, founder of SAM Art Projects; Florence and Daniel Guerlain, collectors and creators of the contemporary arts Daniel and Florence Guerlain Foundation; Pierre Ardouvin, artist and lecturer at ENSAPC; Marie-Ange Moulonguet, committee member of Duchamp Prize and Paris Arts committee; and Hervé Mikaeloff, exposition commissioner and contemporary arts counselor.
The student Thibault Grougi with his work “Shaire Bic”, a column with variables dimensions composed of a hundred of tracing paper with drawings made with BIC® Cristal® blue ball pen, won the first edition of the BIC® Prize for ENSAPC.
The entire works presented for this competition will be exhibited until January 8th 2017, at Espace YGREC, les Grands Voisins, 82 avenue Denfert Rochereau, Bâtiment Lelong, 75014 Paris (free entry).
