The student Araks Sahakyan won the third edition of the BIC® Prize for ENSAPC
The student Araks Sahakyan won the third edition of the BIC® Prize for ENSAPC with her work "Paper carpet", an installation of 121 free paper sheets, stored in a box and which, when unfolded, become a carpet. Box : 23x33x5cm / Carpet : 213x301cm.
This work has been done with paper, leather, BIC® VISA and Conté® feltpens, BIC® ballpens, BIC® China ink and pencils.
Araks Sahakyan is an Armenian-Spanish artist, born in 1990. Her sensitive artworks reflect her hard work, her original and committed mindset, as well as her acuteness when it comes to dealing with exile and population displacement issues. A topic she covers thanks to a simple, yet striking and colorful vocabulary accessible to all.
Camille Joffroy with "Judith triomphante" (a 50X110 cm triptych, BIC® ball pen on paper) and Jun Kim with "Atlas bleu" (an installation of 2 videos, one of danse and one of digital drawing with blue BIC® Cristal® ball pen) respectively won the 2nd and 3rd prize.
