An Update on BIC's Response to COVID-19 for Our Global Community
We know your family’s health and safety is your number one priority during this unprecedented time—it’s ours as well.
That begins with our own BIC community. We are doing everything possible to ensure our team members’ safety around the world. We’ve already put in place policies to support them and to help prevent the spread of the virus, following the recommendations of health authorities and local government regulations.
To date, we have had to halt operations in several countries as required by local government guidelines. Team members at many of our commercial offices are working remotely. At sites that remain open, we have implemented work from home when possible, social distancing, staggered shifts, and enhanced cleaning and other measures to help protect and support our team members.
We will not hesitate to take additional steps following the guidance of the local health authorities.
This commitment extends to our greater community, too.
At BIC, we want to make sure your children have reliable pens, pencils and markers as they continue learning and being creative from home; that you have affordable grooming product options that help you stick to your shopping budget and that you have the safest, highest quality lighters to warm your homes or light soothing candles at day’s end.
We also want you to know that you can rely on us for these necessities: right now, we are experiencing no delays on our products. That said, the situation continues evolving quickly. We have taken several steps to secure our production capacity. We are also working closely with customers to increase their safety stock levels and develop online sales plans to continue meeting your shopping needs. Visit Amazon, Carrefour.fr, Walmart.com, Target.com, Tesco.com or BIC.com for your family’s essential items.
At the same time, we hope you’re engaging in necessary self-care to stay well. Remember that every one of us can help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Refer to guidance from the World Health Organization and your local authorities as this situation continues. They are your best resource for the questions and concerns you may have.
Meanwhile, we’ll do our best to be a top resource for your home. As we all support the #StayHome effort together, you can continue to rely on our products and other fun activities for your families to express their creativity.
Our thoughts are with all those who have been impacted by COVID-19 and we send our heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, paramedics, factory workers and first responders putting themselves on the front lines to protect our communities and economies. These are challenging times but together we will persevere.
Thank you for making BIC a presence in your homes and around the world for more than 75 years.
